I wish I was born in 1989


Hallo!

By now you've probably heard Taylor Swift's new album. If not, go listen to it right now, it's amazing. In fact, it's so amazing that I wish I was born in 1989 so it could be the actual soundtrack of my life. 

This album contains everything I want in an album: slow ballads, catchy pop tunes, and a bit of "indie-ish" pop. What more can you want!

I have been playing the album on repeat ever since it came out, and I'm pretty sure that I've listened to "style" and "blank space", about a bazillion times already. I mean, who doesn't want a guy that looks like James Dean? So relatable. 

Let me tell you something else, miss Swift is a very smart lady. I study International Business, and I've had marketing as a subject, and how she has promoted this album is just so smart. I never really liked marketing as a subject, but I do love a good selling strategy.

I'm not like most other girls....


Hallo!

"I'm not like most other girls" is a statement that I've heard so many use these past couple of months. On the internet and in real life.. and it annoys me.

Truth is, during my dark high school days (thinking about them makes me want to crawl underneath my bedcovers and die) I was one of the people who said this. A lot. It made me feel better about not being the "popular" girl, or the "hot" girl in class, because hey, at least I wasn't like them. 

For me, it was a defense mechanism, and I guess that it still is for a lot of girls.. But there are so many things wrong with using it. Nobody will care if you don't wear make-up, or think Starbucks is the most overpriced drink in the world.. You know why? Because it doesn't matter. It doesn't make you better than anyone else, actually, it makes you a not so nice human being, for trying to make fun of people with different interests than you.

It has taken me a couple of years to figure out that I am actually just like other girls. I drink way too much Starbucks, buy way too much clothes, and heck, I even started a blog! But that doesn't make me less of a person though does it?

I'm a basic white girl.. and proud

Welcome to enjoyceable, my very own blog! Now, you may wonder where this name comes from, so let me be just be honest, it's a very silly wordplay on my name "Joyce" and enjoyable..

It does represent what I want this blog to be about though, about me and enjoyable things!

I'll (try!!) to upload posts at least twice a week about whatever tickles my fancy...
